Business Support

Business support services from the Garment District Alliance — economic development, available space, a business directory, and district data for companies in Midtown Manhattan.

The Garment District Alliance offers business support services for the companies that make the district work — from fabric houses and showrooms to restaurants and offices. As a Business Improvement District, the Alliance helps businesses find space, get listed in the district directory, and access market and economic data for Midtown.

Economic Development

Part of our mission is to improve the economic vitality of our neighborhood. We endeavor to listen to the needs and concerns of our local businesses and work with them, our property owners, and the City, to create programming that achieves this goal.

Eighth Avenue First

Eighth Avenue between Penn Station and Port Authority is where New York City begins for 1.1 million people every day and 3.5 million tourists each year.

Given its transit-rich location, proximity to business, and potential for housing, Eighth Avenue should be a world class corridor where people want to live, work, and visit.

For a full report on Eighth Avenue and what can be done to change it for the better, open the link below.
